Oh look...it's my new entry, and now it's about sports! well when i talk about sports, football is a must. Everyone knows what football is (accept for the americans who apparently play it by using their hand. haha. just a joke guys. i like american football too). In Malaysia, it's our number 1 sports, and our rank in FIFA also starts with number 1, which is 161. haha. Don't feel bad Malaysia. Let us try harder ok? :)
For what i can observe, it seems that everyone who involves with football are pretty much crazy. Pernah dengar pepatah moden "makan bola, tidur bola, minum c*** c***?" Gila ape makan bola? Sometimes football can make people fight, like the other day i saw a fight between fans at kedai mamak. Also whenever team scores a goal, people will shouted like a crazy people saying "goal!!!" or "Arsenal!!!!!" or "f*** you!!!your team sucks!!!" Pretty crazy huh? well not quite. Because of football, there are people out there who is willing to buy a human being. GILA APE NAK BELI2 ORANG NI?INGAT BELI PATUNG BARBIE APE?
"huaahhh!!who's your daddy?" Florentino Perez, Real Madrid's President who thinks that buying people is like buying clothes.
We all know that Kaka is going to real madrid from AC Milan, with a record breaking transfer fee of 59 million pound, thus becoming the most expensive player. But the crazyness doesn't stop there. Few days later, real madrid launch a 80 million pound bid for Cristiano Ronaldo. There you have it. A total of almost 140 million pound - can buy 10+ Buggati Veyron or feed the entire family in Palestine. :)
Here is the Top 10 list of the most expensive football player in the world:
Number 10: Pavel Nedved, 30.6 million pound
A transfer from Lazio to Juventus in 2001 worth of 30.6 million pound, Pavel Nedved fill the void that is left by zinadine zidane when he was going to real madrid. A recipient of the Ballon d'Or in 2003, he led juventus to the final of champions league only to lose to AC Milan. still remember his superb goal against Real madrid. This guy made zidane sulked that nite.
Number 9: Dimitar Berbatov, 30.75 million pound
From Tottenham Hotspurs to Manchester United in 2008. at 1st when arrived at old trafford, he managed to become a regular face in the first eleven. but during mid season he seemed to be a little of. with only 14 goals in 42 appearance, i don't know whether Ferguson wants to keep him next season or not.
Number 8: Andrey Shevchenko, 30.8 million pound
A transfer from AC Milan to Chelsea. one of my favourite player during his day at AC Milan. A recipient of the Ballon d'Or award in 2004 and score the winning penalty against Juventus in 2003 champions league final. Due to injuries, he wasn't a regular in Chelsea, and now he's being loan back to AC Milan, but rarely play for the 1st team. well, hope that he can make a comeback.
Number 7: Cristian Vieri, 32 million pound
A record breaking transfer at that time from Lazio to Inter Milan. A goal scoring machine alongside Ronaldo and Hernan Crespo in Inter Milan. one of the most dangerous striker in the world.
Number 6: Gianluigi Buffon, 32 million pound
A transfer from Parma to Juventus. He is the most expensive goal keeper in the world. Pretty reasonable for one of the best goalkeeper in the world. have u ever see this guy save a goal?totally out of this world. Especially during that save from Adrian Mutu's penalty in Euro 2008 that save Italy's butt from early exit.
Number 5: Robinho, 32.5 million pound
Money do the talk here. A premier league record breaking transfer from Real Madrid to Manchester City warns other club that MC is being serious here. Although fail to capture kaka for an absurd 100 million pound transfer, it won't stop them from getting more great players. now, who is Abramovic?
Number 4: Hernan Crespo, 35.7 million pound
in the summer of 2000 Sven-Goran Eriksson's Lazio were Serie A champions and flush with cash following the sale of Christian Vieri to Inter Milan a year before for a then world-record fee. They spent 35.7million of their money on Parma's Hernan Crespo, who finished top scorer in the league in his first season in Rome but was unable to help the club defend their Scudetto and also left for Inter in 2002.
Number 3: Luis Figo, 37 million pound
Perez was elected Real president in the summer of 2000 on the back of his promise to do the unthinkable and bring the star player from arch-rivals Barcelona to the Bernabeu. Upon appointment he was true to his word, breaking the world transfer record by signing Luis Figo for 37 million.
Number 2: Zinadine Zidane, 46.7 million pound
Following the controversial arrival of Luis Figo in the Spanish capital a year before, Real president Florentino Perez continued his now infamous Galacticos project with the capture of the then FIFA World Player of the Year Zinedine Zidane from Italian giants Juventus for a fee that stood as the world record until Kaka's deal.
Number 1: Kaka, 59 million pound
The guy who have won everything, but still humble towards God. A good example to Malaysian footballers
Until Real came in for Ronaldo, their reported £59m bid for Kaka looked like it was going to be the new world record benchmark for a transfer fee. Kaka said he was moving 'for AC Milan'. Course he is. Kalau aku, aku pun nk. :)
